Overview

Every surf town has one instructor the locals all point to. In Byron Bay it's Gaz, GazMan Morgan, owner of Style Surfing and the town's longest-serving surf instructor, a man who has put more first-timers on their feet than he could plausibly count. The session is three full hours in Byron's famously forgiving waves, long, soft, learner-friendly walls that make first pop-ups feel possible and second ones feel certain. Groups are capped at ten so everybody gets Gaz-time, and all the gear is included; you bring swimmers and a willingness to fall with dignity. The regular bonus feature: dolphins, and in season whales, cruising behind the lineup while you work. One thing worth knowing about Gaz: if the waves turn dangerous, he cancels, every time, no exceptions. That's not a caveat, it's a credential. Learn from the guy who's seen everything this bay can do.
