Overview

One surf lesson teaches you to stand up. Five in a row teach you to actually surf, and that's the whole idea of this tour. Each day builds on the last while it's still fresh in your arms, which is how you get from white-wash wobbles to unbroken waves in a single week. You surf three to four hours a day for five consecutive days, with Soul Surf School's instructors, Surfing Australia Level 1 and 2 accredited, first-aid trained, professional lifeguard backgrounds, moving the group between Byron Bay's beaches to match the conditions to your level. Boards, wetsuits, rash vests and transport for each surf safari are all included. It's open to ages 13 and up, so it works whether you're mid gap year or dragging a younger sibling along. By Friday, "I surfed in Byron" is just a fact about you.
