Overview

Byron Bay isn't a place you visit so much as a lifestyle you audition for, and this package is the audition: three days and two nights based at Mojosurf Camp inside the world-famous Arts Factory Lodge, with a surf lesson every single day to build actual skills instead of one-off beginner's luck. The accommodation is a teepee-style bell tent in the middle of the Arts Factory's legendary bohemian ecosystem, musicians, travellers, artists and a permanent soundtrack. Each day includes one lesson with boards and equipment supplied for the session, and Byron's learner-friendly waves do the rest of the coaching. Between surfs, the town takes over: beaches, cafés, boutiques by day; the bar-and-live-music circuit by night. Meals are your own (no breakfast included), which in Byron is less a gap than an invitation. Three consecutive days of surfing is where it starts to stick, you'll leave standing up and planning a return.

1 Day 1

Arrive in Byron Bay! Check in to your accommodation at Nomads Arts Factory Hostel. Meet the Mojo crew at a Meet&Greet and enjoy the rest of your day. No activities planned on your arrival day. Your first surf lesson will be the day after you arrive, and the day you depart unless you are arriving at the accommodation before 7:30am.

2 Day 2

Get ready to start the day off with an 8:30 AM surf lesson! We whisk you away to where the waves are best for learning to surf! Depending on the conditions, we can pick from half a dozen beaches around Byron Bay to ensure you get the best possible learn to surf experience. Once we get there, we’ll get you suited up with a surfboard and a wetsuit if needed. After a quick stretch and beach lesson, we’ll hit the water for some Mojosurf surf school action! Our professional and fun surf instructors will get you up and riding waves in no time. We'll be back at the accommodation around 12-1 PM! Experience Byron Bay on your own time afterwards!

3 Day 3
