Day boats give you a few hours on the reef. OceanQuest gives you the reef after everyone else has gone home, you're already floating on it at sunrise, first in the water and last out, with Norman, Saxon and Hastings reefs on the doorstep. Certified divers can log up to ten dives across the trip; newcomers can take two intro dives or stick to snorkelling, which is included for everyone. All the gear is covered, dive computer, air fills, full tuition, plus every meal onboard and the after-dark spectacle of Sharks in the Dark. This is floating accommodation done properly: air-conditioned twin and double cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms, and transfers from your Cairns CBD accommodation included. Bring a certification card or just bring curiosity, both work out here.

Day 1 7.30-8 am: Pick up from your city accommodation (if booked) and check in at our dive centre at 319 Draper Street before transferring to the marina 8.30 am: Set off from Cairns Marina and cruise out to the reef on our day trip vessel SeaQuest 10.00 am: Arrive at the Reef for your first either certified or intro dive/snorkel session 12.00 pm: Enjoy lunch while we more to our second dive and snorkel site 12.30 pm: Second certified dive/introductory dive (if two have been prebooked)/ or snorkel opportunity on Sea Quest 2.30 pm: Transfer to Ocean Quest and settle into your cabin 3.30 pm: Third certified dive or snorkel session 6pm: Dinner is served! 6.30pm Gear up for one of our unique liveaboard evening certified dive experiences or simply chill on board 8pm: Dessert is served 10pm: Bar closes
