Beginner Group Surf Lesson (13 years+)

Overview

The Gold Coast produces world champions, but it also produces something rarer: waves gentle enough to learn on. Get Wet Surf School has built its award-winning reputation on exactly that, authentic lessons with local instructors, on the coast's favourite learn-to-surf beach. The two-hour session covers the full beginner arc: reading the water, the pop-up on sand, then straight into the whitewash where the actual learning happens. Boards, rash shirts and seasonal wetsuits are all supplied, there's a safe spot for your belongings while you're out there, and, the underrated luxury, a warm shower waiting when you're done. It's open to ages 13 and up, so it works solo, as a crew, or with family in tow. A shuttle bus can be arranged if you need a lift, just contact the school ahead of time. Two hours from now, 'I can surf' becomes technically true.
