Overview

Fifteen rusting ships sit half-sunk in turquoise water off Moreton Island, and they've become the Tangalooma Shipwrecks, a snorkel site that looks photoshopped and isn't. This pass hands you the gear and the whole day to explore them at your own pace, no guide setting the schedule. The ferry from Brisbane's Pinkenba terminal is included both ways (check-in 6:30am, back around 5:15pm, a proper eight-hour day). On the island you've got three hours of kayak hire, three hours of snorkelling gear and an hour on a stand-up paddleboard, plus access to the resort's land side: beach sports, mini golf, basketball and tennis for the salt-logged hours. It's self-guided freedom, so bring or buy your own food and drinks, and note the $50 pre-authorisation hold (released after your trip). Suits ages six and up, easy for groups who all want different days.
