Four to five cellar doors in a day, with lunch included at Kies Winery, a proper wine-country feed in the middle of the tasting schedule, exactly where it belongs. The route rolls out through the picturesque Adelaide Hills and works the valley's villages, Lyndoch, Tanunda, Nuriootpa and Angaston, with the region's edible icons woven between pours: Steiny's Traditional Mettwurst and Barossa cheese for the savoury course, Maggie Beer's Farm Shop for the pantry pilgrimage. The Whispering Wall and Mengler Hill Lookout slot in on request, just tell your driver at the first meet, because this tour treats the itinerary as a conversation.
