Green Island does something almost nowhere else can: it's a coral cay with actual rainforest growing out of the middle of it. Reef on all sides, jungle in the centre, and you've got up to seven hours to work through both. The headline act is the one-hour boat snorkel trip to one of the island's best sites, on top of your choice for the day, snorkel gear, or a glass-bottom boat tour if you'd rather stay dry. Join the marine biologist's reef talk and island walk (spaces are limited), wander the self-guided eco trail, or claim a spot at the swimming pool reserved for Great Adventures guests. Morning tea and coffee are served on the ride out, and the island has food outlets plus optional extras, parasailing, heli flights and the Wunyami Cultural Tour among them, if you want to stack the day higher.
