You're halfway through the scrambled eggs when the guest of honour arrives: between 9:00 and 9:30 each morning, a koala and its keeper join breakfast on the Lilies Restaurant deck. Pat it, get the photo, and ask the keeper every koala question you've been saving. The spread itself is a proper cooked breakfast, eggs, bacon, hash browns, chipolatas, croissants, fruit, juice and coffee, with a vegetarian option if that's you. And it's just the opener: your ticket includes full park admission, a boat cruise on Hartley's Lagoon and the day's wildlife presentations. One note from the real world: book by 4pm the day before, because the koala doesn't do walk-ins. Come hungry, stay for the crocs.
