Overview

The Blue Mountains have a public face, and then the lookouts the buses can't reach. With a maximum of nine guests in a luxury vehicle, this tour spends its day at the secluded end: quiet clifftops, rainforest and waterfall scenery, and guided bushwalks of 10 to 45 minutes each, pitched so everyone actually does them. The icons still get their due, the Three Sisters at Echo Point, with the Aboriginal legends of the region woven in by your guide, before a mountain-village stop where you choose your own lunch instead of queueing for a buffet. Then the afternoon's change of pace: Featherdale Wildlife Park (entry included), where kangaroos, koalas and wombats are close enough to count whiskers. City pickup is complimentary and you're back in Sydney by 6–6:30pm. It's the mountains-plus-wildlife day that doesn't feel like a production line.

"Featherdale is a great park, I could have spent more time there. The hike was a beautiful challenge. Lunch in Leura was busy but still nice."
