Overview

There's the ferry version of Sydney Harbour, and then there's this: timber decks, canvas overhead, and the Opera House sliding past from the deck of a genuine tall ship. Southern Swan or Soren Larsen, either way, you're on the harbour's best-looking boat. You sail 90 minutes from Campbell's Cove in The Rocks, past the Opera House, under the gaze of the Harbour Bridge and around Fort Denison, with the crew telling the harbour's maritime stories as you go. Feeling useful? Help raise the sails or take a turn at the helm. Feeling horizontal? Light refreshments are served onboard. Want to earn your sea legs properly? The Mast Climb Challenge is an optional extra ($30 pre-booked), and there's a drinks package if you'd rather toast the skyline from deck level.

"Great experience to do in Sydney. The crew was amazing and the views you get in the tour are pretty nice. We even sailed a little bit without engine, which was even better."
