Overview

Summertime has been sailing longer than most of her passengers' parents have been alive, a 70-year-old ketch, refurbished to keep the character and add the comforts. She departs 8:30am Thursdays and Saturdays with a maximum of 17 aboard, which is exactly the size where strangers stop being strangers. The two days and one night cover the icons, Whitehaven Beach, the Hill Inlet lookout, snorkelling the fringing reefs with wetsuits and gear included, but the boat brings her own extras: kayaks for every guest, so anchorages become playgrounds, and a freshwater jacuzzi for salt-free soaking between swims. Below deck it's fully air-conditioned with a comfortable saloon; above, the deck space is made for sunsets. All meals, snacks, linen and park fees are included; BYO drinks and a beach towel. Old boat, easy days, good company, that's the whole formula.

Along the way, enjoy a relaxing lunch in the sheltered waters of Hook Passage, with beautiful scenery and a chance to connect with fellow travelers. Our knowledgeable guide will then take you on a short bushwalk to the breathtaking Hill Inlet Lookout, where you can take in the famous swirling turquoise waters and white sands. After capturing some incredible photos, we’ll head down to the iconic Whitehaven Beach to unwind and soak up the surroundings. Once everyone is back on board, we’ll sail toward our evening anchorage, enjoying snacks and drinks as the sun sets. The day wraps up with a delicious BBQ dinner on deck and a photo slideshow featuring highlights from the day’s adventures.

2 Day 2

Rise to the breathtaking beauty of the islands and start your day with a delicious breakfast on deck, surrounded by crystal-clear waters. While you soak in the serenity, the crew gears up for an action-packed day of adventure—get ready to snorkel or kayak above vibrant coral gardens in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. Encounter dazzling marine life, from graceful sea turtles to clouds of tropical fish and swaying sea anemones. "They took us to bays which were amazing full of sea life and even had sharks by our boat at night. … took us to Whitehaven beach early, which was the best decision. By 10am it was absolutely packed and would’ve ruined the experience."
