The Getaway declines to compromise, three days, both coasts, and two different resorts, starting in style with a night at Kingfisher Bay Resort before the touring even begins. The two full days of guided 4WD coach touring cover the island's complete UNESCO-listed portfolio: Lake McKenzie's white silica shore, the rainforest boardwalks of Central Station and the centuries-old Satinay trees of Pile Valley, the 75 Mile Beach highway (with an optional Air Fraser joy flight overhead), a float down Eli Creek, the Maheno shipwreck, the technicoloured Pinnacles with their Dreamtime story, and Indian Head, where turtles and rays patrol the water below. Expert commentary runs throughout, with a translation app in five languages. Your second night is at K'gari Beach Resort on the ocean side. Two breakfasts, daily morning tea, two lunches, ferries, park fees and courtesy pickups are included, dinners are yours to enjoy at leisure. This is K'gari with a private triple room and nothing skipped.
