Overview

Western Australia's coral coast is one of the country's great road trips, and almost nobody does it because the distances scare them. The Coastal Loop solves that in four days: Perth to Monkey Mia and back, with someone else driving and a proper ensuite room every night, Kalbarri, Monkey Mia, Geraldton, instead of a swag. The hit list is absurd for four days: the ancient limestone spires of the Pinnacles Desert, lunch at the famous Lobster Shack in Cervantes (factory tour included), Kalbarri National Park's Skywalk, Nature's Window and Hawks Head lookout, the surreal pink lake at Hutt Lagoon, Shell Beach's millions of tiny cockle shells, the HMAS Sydney memorial above Geraldton, and the headline act, Monkey Mia's wild resident dolphins, experience fees covered. Guided walks total about 4.5km, with sea turtles, dugongs and emus likely along the way. Three breakfasts and a lunch are included; other meals are group dinners or grab-your-own. It's a 6-to-16 person mini-coach with an expert driver-guide. The whole coral coast, zero logistics.

"We spend a lot of time driving and you should be in good shape to do the optional tours of swimming with the manta rays and whale sharks but it's totally worth it. Western Australia is such a special place and Coral Bay and Exmouth were truly unforgettable!"
