Overview

Three days in the Whitsundays hits different to two, one more sunrise, one more anchorage, and enough time to stop counting. British Defender is the boat to do it on: the most modern maxi-sailing yacht in the fun fleet, carrying up to 27 with a crowd that skews 18–30s and social. The itinerary covers what you came for: Whitehaven Beach's silica sand, the Hill Inlet lookout, and snorkelling the fringing reefs with equipment, stinger suits and basic tuition all included, first-timers welcome in the water. A skipper and crew run the boat and cook all meals and snacks, with tea, coffee and tap water flowing and bed linen sorted. Marina levies are covered; you just BYO drinks and a beach towel. It's maxi-yacht sailing with the social settings turned up, come solo and leave with a group chat.

Day 1 - Set sail from Airlie Beach, heading to the north end of Hook Island. Snorkel around the beautiful Stonehaven Bay area with a stop off at Langford reef as well. Spend the night at Stonehaven Bay or close by.

2 Day 2

Day 2 – Sail to Tongue Bay and spend the day exploring all that Whitsunday Island has to offer. "They took us to bays which were amazing full of sea life and even had sharks by our boat at night. … took us to Whitehaven beach early, which was the best decision. By 10am it was absolutely packed and would’ve ruined the experience."
